24 hours. At Kneads, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel any appointment related to our massage therapy services. If you fail to attend an appointment and provide less than 24 hours' notice of cancellation, you will incur a charge for the full appointment. This policy is in place because we may not be able to fill your appointment slot and still need to cover our costs.
Please cancel as soon as possible if you anticipate that a foreseeable event, such as illness or adverse weather conditions, may prevent you from attending. If you need to cancel your appointment on short notice due to a long-term medical condition that varies day to day, or if you are more than 37 weeks pregnant, we will discuss the cost implications of our terms and conditions on a case-by-case basis.
An invoice for any cancellation or 'no show' charges will be sent to you by email, and payment must be completed by bank transfer within 7 days. After a cancellation, payment must be received before we can take any further massage bookings.
Late Arrivals: It is important that we adhere to our agreed appointment time and duration. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and you may arrive later than planned or need to leave a bit earlier. While this is acceptable, please note that we cannot compensate for the missed time by overrunning or extending subsequent appointments.
All practitioners at Kneads are qualified in their fields, holding a current First Aid certificate as well as professional and public indemnity insurance for the massage therapy services they provide.
Given the close contact nature of massage therapy, we uphold a high standard of personal hygiene, and we ask our clients to do the same.
If a practitioner is unwell, experiencing a cold, virus, infection, or any general ill health, they will be prohibited from working to prevent the risk of cross-contamination. Consequently, Kneads may reach out to you promptly to discuss this issue and make suitable alternative arrangements.
Clients are also requested not to attend for massage therapy services if they are unwell, suffering from a cold, virus, infection, or general ill health. Please inform Kneads by emailing karla@kneads.co.uk at the earliest opportunity to reschedule your appointment. Please note that if you notify us of your illness, our Cancellation Policy may still apply.
Kneads, along with all practitioners, will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal items during your visit to the Kneads premises.
Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will need to grant permission for the agreed massage plan to be carried out and co-sign the New Client Consultation Form. The parent or guardian is encouraged to stay in the room for the entire appointment and is expected to be present throughout the treatment.
Kneads reserves the right to refuse any treatment if a client behaves in a physically or verbally abusive manner toward any practitioner, or displays inappropriate, aggressive, or sexual behavior. Such actions may result in a partial or total ban from Kneads and could lead to criminal proceedings.
Kneads offers professional massage therapy services, but it is important to note that this bodywork modality is not a substitute for professional medical care or counseling. The practitioners at Kneads will not diagnose, prescribe medication, or provide any medical treatments unless they are personally qualified to do so. In such cases, they will always recommend a referral to a GP or another qualified medical specialist.
Clients have a responsibility to provide accurate and truthful medical and personal information to Kneads and to keep their practitioners updated on any medications, symptoms, medical concerns, or treatments being investigated or pursued.
Kneads reserves the right to refuse treatment to any client or specific body part for just and reasonable cause. Furthermore, Kneads retains the authority to terminate any appointment at any time if it is deemed unsafe or not in the client’s best interest to proceed. Similarly, clients have the right to refuse, modify, or terminate the agreed-upon treatment at any point, regardless of prior consent provided. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.
All client information and clinical records will be safeguarded by Kneads, ensuring that your privacy is maintained. Unless required by law, we will not share, sell, or distribute any information you provide us without your consent. Our massage therapy services are designed with your confidentiality in mind. Consultations and client treatment details will remain private, only discussed with the client, or with a care worker or guardian if the client is under the age of 18. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosures, Kneads employs stringent security measures to protect your information from unauthorized persons and safeguard against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, and damage. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to ensure that the information we collect online is secure. Your information will be retained for a reasonable period or as long as required by law. Each practitioner working with Kneads will have access to these records only during their contract, and solely to deliver the most appropriate massage therapy services to you. For further details, please review our terms and conditions and Privacy Policy.
